Workshops & online programs

You do not need a long history with music to begin. Kyoto Future Music Institute creates welcoming spaces to learn through improvisation—listening, feeling, and responding in the moment, rather than only reading a score.

Adlib Tasting Session is a beginner-friendly community program in Kyoto. It is not a commercial lesson storefront; it is a public-benefit space for expression and connection across ages.

Okamoto Method Online introduces a learning path for people who cannot travel to Kyoto. It shares improvisation ideas developed by Hirofumi Okamoto so more people can begin listening and expression from afar.

Learning with us is not only about technique. It also supports self-expression, intergenerational dialogue, and reconnection with community.
